Pre-ground coffee – freshly roasted and ready for brewing

At Copenhagen Coffee Lab, we make it easy to enjoy great coffee. Our selection of ground coffee is carefully chosen, roasted in Copenhagen, and ground just before dispatch. Whether you use a French press, coffee machine, or pour-over, we have the coffee that suits you – fresh, convenient, and full of flavor.

What is Pre-ground Coffee - and why choose it?

Pre-ground coffee consists of whole coffee beans that have been pre-ground to suit your brewing method – e.g. filter coffee, French press or AeroPress. At Copenhagen Coffee Lab, we only grind the beans when you order them. This means you always get freshly ground coffee with optimal taste and aroma.

Pre-ground coffee is perfect if you want high quality without having to invest in a coffee grinder. It's also ideal for gifts, for taking on the go or for the office. You simply choose the grind size that suits your brewer – and we'll take care of the rest.

If you're looking for one of our espresso coffees, please note that it's not possible to order them pre-ground, as we recommend ordering espresso beans as whole beans and grinding them at home to achieve a perfect result.

Selections from around the world – with flavor in focus

Our pre-ground coffee comes from some of the world's most renowned coffee-producing countries. We currently offer beans from, among others: Honduras, Peru, Ethiopia, Colombia and Kenya – all with unique flavor profiles: Try a light roasted coffee from Kenya with fruity notes and fresh acidity.

Go for a medium roast from Peru for a balanced, sweet, and complex taste. Choose a darker roast from Brazil with chocolatey and nutty notes – perfect for milk-based drinks or black coffee.

All beans are high-quality specialty coffee, hand-picked and responsibly sourced from producers we know and trust. See our full selection of coffee here.

Tailored to your brewing method

Do you brew with a filter, French press, or pour-over? We offer pre-ground coffee that matches your method:

Filter grind: Perfect for drip brewers and pour-over methods such as V60, Kalita, or Chemex.
French Press grind: Ideal for French press and immersion brewers.

Simply select your desired grind size on the product page. You can also see our selection of brewing equipment if you wish to upgrade or try something new.

Organic and Fairtrade – good coffee with a good conscience

Many of our pre-ground coffees are available as organic and Fairtrade-certified. This means you can drink your coffee with a clear conscience – with respect for both nature and people. We only work with producers who share our values of transparency, sustainability, and high quality.

How long does delivery take?

We usually ship within 1-2 business days. Orders are delivered via GLS.

Which coffee is best for my brewing method?

That depends on how you brew. Espresso machines work best with darker roasts, while drip and French press methods pair well with lighter roasts. Check out our brew guide for more tips.

Do you sell whole beans or ground coffee?

Both. You can choose whole beans or select "Ground" on the product page before adding the product to your cart. You can also find our Ground coffee here.

Is your coffee organic?

Yes, we offer a selection of organic coffee and many of our products are also Fairtrade certified.

What roasting style do you use?

Drawing on our many years of experience in the field, our roasters profile each batch according to its terroir, processing method, and brewing method, ensuring precise development of each batch so that no discovery of the roasting process can ever distract you from the true taste experience of the coffee. Together with our extensive daily quality control, this allows for dynamic and progressive roast profiling and a consistent product regardless of quantity.

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship to 25 European countries. Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden. You can read more about delivery and prices here. If you have any special delivery requests, please let us know.

How long do you recommend I use the coffee for?

If your bag remains unopened, the coffee will still taste fine for many months after roasting. Coffee deteriorates as it ages and loses some of its vibrancy. Remember to reseal the bag or use an alternative airtight container.

Resting time is an important aspect of coffee brewing, so be sure to experiment to find out how long you should wait after the roast date. For espresso, we recommend between 1 and 2 weeks of rest; for filter coffee, we can recommend a shorter rest period.
