Exceptional Kenyan coffee with fruity notes.
Karimikui is produced 1.650 meters above sea level by smallholder farmers in the Rungeto region of Kirinyaga, in the central part of Kenya. The area’s high altitude and rich volcanic soils create ideal conditions for vibrant, complex coffees.
Grown from classic Kenyan varieties including Ruiru 11, Batian, SL-28, and SL-34, this coffee produces a clean and structured cup. In the cup, expect notes of apricot, blackcurrant, and a smooth hint of vanilla, with a lively acidity and layered sweetness that express the terroir of Rungeto.
This coffee has been processed at the Karimikui Coffee Factory, managed by the Rung’eto Farmers Cooperative Society. Established in 1966, the factory serves many farmers in the area who can choose where to deliver their harvest. The best mills consistently produce coffees that shine in the cup. Pick me up, and I’ll play a tune that will take you on the road.
