Samii Danche – Pre-ground

Samii Danche is like stepping into a fruit orchard at sunrise – crisp air, soft florals, and flavours bursting with brightness.

We’re thrilled to welcome another lot from the Danche Washing Station back into the range. This one is overflowing with vibrant fruit character – dried watermelon, dandelion, and blackberry – layered on a silky mouthfeel and a sweetness that lingers long after the cup is gone. Florals of dandelion and chamomile lift the profile, while the signature clarity and clean finish remind us why washed Ethiopians continue to inspire.

Sitting at up to 2.300 meters above sea level, and with over 400 smallholder farmers contributing to the station, the high elevation and slow maturation here produce coffees of incredible purity and depth. The meticulous post-harvest process – from underwater fermentation to careful drying on raised beds – ensures that only the most flavour-dense beans make it through.
